Valley Village

The history of Valley Village goes back to the 1930’s when workers at nearby studios built houses in the area. But it wasn’t until 1991 that Valley Village officially separated from North Hollywood. The 2.09 square mile Valley Village lies North of Studio City, East of Sherman Oaks and South and West of North Hollywood.

Traditional-style 1-story homes on tree-lined streets are the hallmark of the original Valley Village. Today, there is lots of new (usually Traditional-style) construction within those borders and the northern boundary of Valley Village is now Oxnard St.

Public schools within Valley Village include North Hollywood High School and the 10- rated Colfax Elementary School, while it is also home to Oakwood Secondary, one of the best private school in the Valley.
